ワガママ by Nissy (lyric translation)

In this article, I will be translating a Japanese song ワガママ by Nissy (Nishijima Takahiro from AAA)!!!

Nissy is a member of a six-member Jpop group, and ワガママis his third solo song that was released in 2013! It's his first solo ballad, and I'm sure it's many people's favorite Nissy song!

The music video has a story and it might be nice to watch this first before going to the translation, it'll probably help you get the brief idea of this song!

The melody, lyrics, and Nissy's voice are beautiful and it's just PERFECT.
I've heard him singing this song live four times but I still get goosebumps, I even get them when I'm watching the DVD!!!

So for this song, I won't write the detailed grammar explanation, but just the translation for each line! The translation would not be the direct translation of the words but the meaning of the line, and I'll try to make it sense as possible!
Also, I just got advice from my friend that writing how the word is pronounced never helps someone learn a language, so instead of writing it using alphabets, I will just write each line in all Hiragana, so it can help you read the kanjis!

There are many indirect and really Japanese phrases in this song, so I'd like to explain the story a bit.
As you can understand from the music video, it's a sad song and sang from a point of view of a woman, which is quite rare for a Nissy song because his songs are usually written from a man's point of view. 
There are many ways to take it, but I think that the man is dead, but the woman has so much regret and she can't forget him. 

(Here's a note in case you don't know the concept of Nissy, Nissy has magic power, and in his music videos, he has two roles, as Nissy the wizard and as Takahiro Nishijima, a normal man without any magic abilities)

In the music video, before the last chors, Nissy snaps his finger and uses magic so the couple can meet again. However, the man, Takahiro, is not alive they don't have much time and he also can't talk to her, so he just hugs her without saying anything. 

The keyword of the song is "わがまま" which is the title and it a word that's hard to explain in English. If you look it up in a dictionary it'll probably say selfish or self-centered, or maybe ego, and it does have that meaning, but here it's used as a noun. I used the word "wish" for the translation but we use わがまま when it's a wish or a desire that might annoy someone, that might be a selfish wish.
I feel that this is a really Japanese way of thinking but the Japanese tend to be humility, and many of us don't say what we want or, express our desire, we just follow the others, and be polite. But when we say a わがまま we might have to annoy someone else's wish, or maybe someone has to do extra work to make that possible.

So the last and smallわがままthat this woman wanted to say was probably 「そばにいて」which means "stay with me". However, she knows that he can't physically stay with her anymore, but she doesn't want to face the reality that he's not here anymore.

To sum it up, there's a woman who can't forget her boyfriend who's already passed away, but wizard Nissy let's here meet him and makes her わがまま come true which was "stay with me". It's a really tearful song, and many of the expressions used are really JAPANESE, but still, it's beautiful and amazing!
